  1. Open access to Anfred from County Road 33

County rd 33 was set to connect to Anfred. At the time a woman who lived on Anfred aggressively passed around a petition to keep the access open. She was pushy and very aggressive when I didn't sign the paper. This pushy woman, our old neighbor, has since moved. It makes more sense to have opened Anfred thereby directing traffic from 2 major elementary schools in Leamington. What needs to end done to connect this road thereby diverting traffic from a neighborhood where there are many children, to a highway where traffic should be?

  2. Fire Leamington library workers and hire new staff

Library has been closed for a while. Can we just not fire the workers and hire new. It is my understanding that many people would work under the current conditions and salary.

  3. Make the GIS more Accessible

I find the geocortex to be accessible but access through the menus is perplexing. I think it should be easer to access.

    Thanks.

  4. Commercial Expansion

I think the town needs to put money toward building structures like what is seen uptown, as that will encourage more people to open businesses and increase the appeal to shopping in that area for visitors. Just to be clear, I don't mean build a "plaza" that has a parking lot in front, I mean just like the uptown buildings where the front door is adjacent to the sidewalk.

  5. sidewalks on oak street west desperately needed

with increased business on oak street west, sidewalks are in desperate need. Making walking difficult on uneven surfaces. a mother going out for a walk with her baby in a stroller has to manuver on uneven surfaces, forced to use the road way, which is dangerous. senior citizens walking on uneven surface , forces to use the roadway, which is dangerous. In the winter leamington residents forced to use the roadway to walk, due to snow banks piles high on the curb. Dangerous situations that must be addressed, before someone gets hurt.

  7. relocate the dumpster at Setterington & Princess

There's a dumpster in the northeast corner of Princess & Setterington in the municipal lot that creates a view obstruction for drivers. Even with Princess closed, this is still an issue. With the offset on Setterington, the dumpster blocks the view for westbound drivers of eastbound vehicles. It would be good if you found a different place to put it.

  8. Take the town council from Kingsville and show them how to make a splash pad for the kids or how to clean a park beach

Take them on a tour so my kids and I can actually do something in Kingsville instead of having to leave to other towns to do things with my kids. We wont even comment on the harbour in Kingsville.

  10. Use conceptual art, plus more?

The conceptual art for the waterfront vision looks magnificent! Surely if I were from somewhere else I would want to come here and participate in all that. I also think that this will benefit the town even more in the long run, as with more tourists comes more customers for small businesses, which are very important to Uptown Leamington's culture. However, I think that if it is fiscally possible, we should try and add as much as we can to the vision. Perhaps the promenade should extend through Seacliff Beach as well, and alongside the path there could be an…

  11. Purchase foster street properties

I think that the other lots that are on Foster should be purchased to run the magnificent waterfront plans the town has developed. Seeing as one house was purchased for 420,000 why not the lot in between as well? There is no tear down that needs to take place hence validating the purchase when you take into consideration the cleanup and tear down cost of the other purchased site. The plans though look great. Hopefully all the land on foster can be acquired and developed to make it a grand presence with the marina

  12. Library expenses in budget

I just noticed that library expenses are higher the economic development in the allotment of expenses for municipal taxes. Every time I go to the library there are 3 staff members working along with an array of students or volunteers. There does not seem to be enough traffic at the library to warrant that amount of help. Not to mention that each librarian is given full benefits, pensions etc. is there not a way to bring down these expenses and hence save tax dollars or reallocate these funds?

  13. Make a bike path that benefits everyone in the town with the generous donation.

With the amount of people that take part in triathlons and the amount of migrant workers that use city streets and dangerous streets like hey 20 I would like to see bike paths modeled after holland. Make our city state of the art in Canada fr bikers and runners. This would bring in tourism, provide safety and revenue if you offer bike rental with lock up stations. I would rather see this then money at soccer stadium.

  14. Do not close Princess Street in front of Central 33.

Closing off Princess St. by Central 33 benefits a small number of people, mostly the owners of Central 33, and hurts every other person who uses that street. It is the nearest parallel street to Erie and offers access to many business' rear entrances as well as those situated on Princess St. itself. Central 33 is already situated perfectly across from a large public parking lot with a courtesy crossing leading to its front doors. There is no reason to close access to this street that more than adequately serves its purpose to ALL businesses and travellers.

  18. Affordable try it activities

I was browsing a catalog from the town of La Salle and the city of Windsor. There are many affordable try it options to take a class and just try something new. For example, to try tap dance lessons for 8 week for a 6 year old has a cost of $30. My son tried dance at the complex when he was 2. He was not keen on the idea of not being with his mother as the policy was no parental watching. That made me and my son uncomfortable. I signed up it was $300.00 my son went to…
