clean up seacliff beach
My son and his family visited the beach from Windsor on Saturday, August 15. Could not let him on the beach or near the water as there were numerous dead fish and broken bottles, etc. Wanted to spend day and perhaps have dinner in Leamington, etc. Headed back home to Windsor earlier than planned.

Hospital parking infraction
I'm not understanding why the city is telling the guards at the hospital to charge people for something they have not done. I parked in the 15 minute parking area, and yes I was over the 15 minutes by mistake because some things take longer than expected when you enter a hospital. Yet they are charging me for "Parked on private property without permission" when above there is a box for "Parked longer than permitted/signs posted". I'm being told that that box does not apply to this situation because it’s considered private property. There should be a different option for…

Ensure election options are a solution to an end .......this election is a travesty....How much did we really save with e-voting ???

Why not sell the marina?
The marina should be sold. It is poorly run and a huge expense on taxpayers. Seeing the other property that is for sale in the area would be the perfect time to sell.

I kind of liked the Internet voting BUT....
I king of liked the internet voting BUT... why were those two "surveys" tacked onto the voting site?
The first made some sense at first glance because it asked questions about voting habits but then it went all wrong with its methodology when it started asking questions about "trust of politicians" and "feelings of empowerment" etc without stating which level of government it was referring to. My answers would have been greatly different for each level of government in Canada so, I feel, the survey was a useless for statistical purposes.

offer more family friendly swims
families like to eat together.... offer family swims that are longer then 1 hour long in the middle of the week. If you want more revenue from visitors offer more family swims, warm up the pools a bit, and allow an al day event. You don't need to close the whole pool for an aquatics class section off the pool. Offer more times where people can visit and the revenues will soar.
Likewise have a staff member in the gym offering to set things up for families whose sole goal is to ensure families have fun.

Make the Sherk Complex internet site easy and user friendly! Schedules and times during the week could not find. Not even sure about fees.

Lower dog tag prices..20.00 in Leamington, 15.00 in Amherstburg and 10.00 if you are over 55!!!
Why are Leamington residents paying more, this is just one fee that is higher than other areas. Property taxes are another matter. The mayor admitted this several months ago and it seems it is now put to sleep.

Leamington-Essex County transit link!
If Norfolk County can do it, no reason Leamington hasn't been able to. Port Rowan & Waterford are MUCH smaller rural communities but they're on a transit link system devised by their County Municipal service Techs...it has community sponsorships [I presume] & Ontario Trillium Foundation FUNDING to support implementation & operating costs...yet for decades Leamington council has lamented & bemoaned that the costs do not justify the means to give disadvantaged persons who can't get from Leamington to Windsor the more AFFORDABLE option to access specialists, get to Court dates, legal aid appointments, attend counselling or employment training programs. Leamington should buy the Heinz building to manufacture products made from our locally grown produce.
We have an abundance of agricultural products grown in this community. Why not buy the existing Heinz building and use it for the manufacturing of these products. Shares could be issued to help with the cost of the investment. Let's invest in ourselves and the talents that exist right here in Leamington and the surrounding area.

Mandatory BICYCLE lights
It's been long overdue that ALL cyclists should be mandated to have bicycle lights at dusk or after dark just like it's law for vehicles or recreational vehicles. This has been a consistent problem within the municipality for a number of years. I speak to this as an avid cycler as part of my lifestyle to complete various tasks [non-leisure or recreation]. There are many individuals who continue to bicycle in fall & winter months where it's dark by 5 pm. Arts & Crafts for children.
I live by the Seacliff Park and I see a lot children playing in the park. I have qualifications for teaching children crafts, games too. There are a lot of single parents out there who need to have somewhere to take their children, and married couples too. I enjoy working with children and willing to teach crafts to children.

Parking in Downtown
Can you please have your parking enforcement person, stop chalking tires. I come from Cottam once a week to shop and everytime I leave there are HUGE chalk marks that do not come off. It is borderline vandalism to my vehicle. There is no need to put a 6" long chalk line on someones tire and going to the front of the tire. Total disregard for people's cars that keep them clean. Thank you.
