I would like to know how much was spent in painting the water tower and the expense of the project.
It is beautiful... Was a local responsible?

Mayor John Paterson commented
Further to staff's comments, the Union Water Board did a Province-wide RFP. Both the interior and exterior had to be refinished which required a specialized service offered by very few. The Board also voted on the colour scheme and design and as has already been stated, paid the entire cost of refurbishment through its budgetary process. It should be good for many years to come. And...we are glad you like it.

Municipality of Leamington commented
The approved budget for repainting the Leamington water tower was $1.2 million and the project was entirely funded by the Union Water Supply System. The contract completion date is December 4th, 2015.
The contract for this work was awarded to JDCMI of Cambridge, Ontario through a competitive process (i.e. invited tender). A local firm based in Leamington was invited to submit a tender but did not complete for the work.
