Great idea to bring everything under one roof but don't forget a proper senior centre with room for Eldercollege Courses and meeting facilities for local clubs and organizations. Also don't forget that the Heinz departure is cutting one million dollars minimum from you budget and will destroy the bank balances of many people in the town.
Great idea but do the sewers and have the money in the Municipality's bank accounts before you even consider it! -

Council had considered that a few years ago. Where would you locate it? How much taxpayer money would you be willing to spend towards such a venture? What capital infrastructure project should Council cut from the budget process to pay for such an idea? Who would be responsible for the ongoing maintenance and insurance costs? Not that it is a bad idea, there is just so much more to consider than just building a facility.

The Municipality of Leamington Culture & Recreation Department currently works with several community agencies to identify programs, services and resources to meet the needs of our multicultural community. For example, we have a representative on the SECC Newcomer Youth Initiative Committee and the Migrant Worker’s Community Program and have provided safe cycling resources in a number of languages to the Mill Street Neighbours Helping Neighbours program. At this time, a Multicultural Community Centre has not been identified as part of the short-term objectives of the Municipality. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact the Manager of Culture & Recreation at 519-322-2337.
