I kind of liked the Internet voting BUT....
I king of liked the internet voting BUT... why were those two "surveys" tacked onto the voting site?
The first made some sense at first glance because it asked questions about voting habits but then it went all wrong with its methodology when it started asking questions about "trust of politicians" and "feelings of empowerment" etc without stating which level of government it was referring to. My answers would have been greatly different for each level of government in Canada so, I feel, the survey was a useless for statistical purposes.
The second "survey" was nothing but a phishing scam that would usually be found in my Spam folder. Of course you had to read the entire small print sections to learn that the responses would be given to participating retailers for the purpose of them sending "targeted" advertisements directly to your email accounts. I don't know if the Town of Leamington received any compensation for including this "survey" but it had no place on the voting site and was an insult to me to be almost victimized by a marketing scheme on the official Municipality of Leamington site!
